After the strong teams of the late 80’s, the girls basketball program has not been as successful. One of the only winning seasons since that time was in 1991, when the girls had a record of 15-11 and just missed winning district. In 1999, the team had a slow start, but ended up with five wins and two losses in district, putting them in second place. In 2003, there weren’t enough high school players to make a varsity squad, so the team had to play a JV schedule—one of the middle school players on that team was Michelle Deschner.
